Service Description
This Thursday Check-In class follows the same sequence as Monday, but with fewer verbal cues—steady guidance, a quieter pace, and more room to move at your own rhythm. If you’re new to the sequence, Monday is the best place to start. Check-In is a midday class that uses the same movement sequence each week to help you move with intention, and reset. We start low to the ground and take a few quiet minutes—no music, no talking—just space to land and notice what’s going on. Then we move through a short body scan and into the sequence. It builds gradually: some breath-aware movement, standing balance work, and time at the end to come back down and rest. It’s not a flow class, but it has a steady rhythm. Optional Sun Salutations. We keep it the same each week on purpose. That repetition gives your body and nervous system a chance to recognize what’s coming and respond differently over time. The quiet at the start and end of class is intentional. In yoga, that’s part of turning your attention inward. But it’s also just a chance to slow down and pay attention without trying to fix anything. This class is welcoming to newer students and just as grounding for folks with an ongoing practice. We offer options, cues, and props that reflect the wide range of bodies and needs in the room. No hands-on adjustments. No singling out. Just space to show up as you are. Mats and props are always available. Soft instrumental music or music with lyrics may play during the movement portion. If requested ahead of time, the instructor can offer individual support throughout class in a way that also supports the community experience. You’re always welcome to reach out through our Contact Us page if there’s anything you’d like us to know before class.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION + NO-SHOW I understand that cancellations must be made at least 24 hours BEFORE the scheduled class start time (through app). If I cancel within 24 hours of class start (by messaging us through app/contact page) or do not attend my reservation, I may be invoiced a $5 late cancellation/no-show fee. I agree to pay this invoice within one week. Class purchases and reservations are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. LATE ARRIVAL TO CLASS I understand that it is ok to be late! (No shame here.) However, if I arrive and the class has already begun, I will wait outside the space until the instructor has finished the opening reflection and the class is shifting from a settled state and into movement. SPACE I understand that KBY operates without a front desk attendant and in an older shared building. I will enter and sign myself in upon arrival (sign in at bottom of steps). The building grounds may include gravel or uneven paths, noise from HVAC, neighboring spaces, or outside activity. Music may be played in the space. PARTICIPATION Classes are often structured for varying levels of mobility. I may participate, modify, rest, or opt out to the degree that feels appropriate for me. If I need specific accommodations, I will contact KBY through the contact form or communicate with the instructor ahead of time whenever possible so that available accommodations can be discussed. 3 PARTICIPANT MINIMUM CLASSES I understand that if the class minimum is not met on these labeled classes, they can be cancelled within 1-12 hours of the class start time. I am responsible for checking my email and app for that cancellation notification. (Drop-in rates will be refunded.)
